Hinnom Moloch

The chief angel Kasdeja showed the children of men the smitings of the embryo in the womb that it may pass away.

Moloch…. a picture of how babies used to be placed in the burning fire, on the arms of the god

The place of the Topheth, where the Jews of Jerusalem used to sacrifice their children to the Ammonite deity Moloch. The Topheth consisted of a hollow bronze statue positioned over a deep fire-pit.

The priests of Molech would stoke a fire in the pit until the statute was red hot and would then place a baby in the statue’s arms. Devotees of Moloch would play drums, flutes, and lyres to cover the moaning of the sacrificial child, whose body would shrivel up from the heat and fall into the fire-pit, the literal “pit of hell”.

The name Tohpheth comes from the Hebrew word tof meaning “drum”.

“And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into My heart.” Jeremiah 7:31

“And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’” Jeremiah 32:35

Isaiah used the imagery of Topheth as a symbol of the destruction that God would visit upon the King of Assyria:

“Every blow of the staff of punishment that YHWH lays on him will be with drums and lyres… the Topheth is already prepared, it is made ready for the king, it is prepared deep and wide; it’s pit with an abundance of fire and wood, the breath of YHVH kindles it like a stream of sulfur.” Isa 30:32-33

When later Jews wanted to convey God punishing the sinful in the final judgment, they described it as the suffering of the “Valley of Hinnom”, the deep gully outside Jerusalem where the Topheth was located. In Hebrew it was called Ge-hinnom (Valley of Hinnom), in Greek Gehenna, and translated into English as “hell”.

Jeremiah prophesied against the Moloch, walking out of “Pottery Gate” to the Topheth in the Hinnom Valley (Jer 7:31-34; 19:1-13). The area around the Topheth, just outside Pottery Gate, contained deep red clay and was known as the “Potter’s Field”. According to Acts 1:19, the field was re-named “Field of Blood” for the blood of Judas Iscariot who committed suicide there. Matthew 27:7, on the other hand, says it was called “Field of Blood” because of the blood of Yahshua. It may have been called “Field of Blood” even before the 1st Century because of the red clay found there as well the blood of the sacrificed children spilled there.

The structure in the picture was built by the Crusaders as a mass grave for the burial of Christian pilgrims who died on their journey to Jerusalem and was still used for this purpose at the end of the 19th Century. Next to the Crusader structure is a mass grave from the 1st century hewn into the mountainside and mentioned in Matthew 27:7 as a place for the burial of the poor.

This scenic valley in Jerusalem is called Gey Ben Hinnom or the Valley of the Son of Hinnom. The Tofet, a pagan altar where children were burned alive to Molech, was located in this valley. The image of children burning in the Tofet was so intense that the word Gehinnom (Valley of Hinnom) came to mean “hell” in Second Temple era Hebrew. This word crossed over into the Greek New Testament as Gehenna. So “hell”, Gehinnom, is quite literally a physical place on earth.

Isaiah 66:24, describing the end-time judgment of the wicked, may be referring to events that will take place in Gey Ben Hinnom.

“And it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh … shall come to worship before Me,” says YHVH. “And they shall go forth [from the Temple?] and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, and their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” Isaiah 66:23-24

Modern day enactment of Moloch… Bohemian Grove, a redwood forest in south California USA. A place where presidents/leaders of countries etc get together for some “fun” once a year. The opening ceremony is called “cremation of care”.

A mock human sacrifice is burned in effigy to an owl god (Moloch), symbolizing a freedom from care. It is a 44 foot high stone owl – that would be the height of a 4 story building with real fire, rituals, chanting, a scream can be heard. This is done for the entertainment of the elitists

Is it a coincidence that there’s a holocaust of unborn children going on in the world right now…? Moloch seems to be very much alive still…
